Well the software really looks good but there are still a few things i would like to see:

1. I would like the addition of polls to the software, also if this is done i think it would be nice if they could be in both replies and new posts.

2. private messaging... this could be turned off if the owner didn't want it...

3. Since the site is now template based i think it would be nice to be able to specify the template in the url. I know the complaint about dynamically displaying the pages but i think the normal template shouldn't be dynamic but if the url has like template=cobranded or something then it should dynamically display with that template. That makes users able to use the same board on multiple sites, co-brand the board etc.

4. The above would make this easy but, ability for users to select if they would like to view the board in the threaded or ubb style in their settings..

5. Possibly the ability to attach files, I really wouldn't use this but i am sure allot of people would..

6. Open topic's style of if you are logged in then when you pull up a page with user name and password it would Display "UserName: stv (Edit your Profile | Logout)"

7. For the profile i don't really thing the biography solves the problem, I would rather have the option to add field, delete field, or rename field in the admin... I know some are required in the code so you could make those like "this field is required it cannot be removed"...

Just some ideas,
Steve

For #7 i think the best solution would be how it's done in LinksSQL. They have a editor for making changes to the tables, one of them lets you edit the settings for each field. Also they have a page where you can add or delete fields. I think this would work great for editing profiles.. demo here:

user: admin
pass: admin

2. private messaging... this could be turned off if the owner didn't want it...

At the moment, threaded style is not supported at all.

Next MAJOR version :)

I'll have a think about how best to do that.

I'll think about that too

Also for #3 i know you said you were thinking of how this could best be done... just a idea you could look at how LinksSQL dose this through it's page.cgi... demo here:

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/perl/links/page.cgi
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/perl/links/page.cgi?t=yahoo
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/perl/links/page.cgi?t=snap

Just a thought,
Steven
