make an inthread post start new thread

I sort think this has been suggested before og maybe even possible today, but couldn't find it so here goes.

I would like my admins/mods to take a misplaced post in a thread, remove it from the thread and have it start a new thread in a forum of their choice.


If this already is possible, could someone please point me in the right direction, thanx

I think (hope) the split / merge thread feature does this ? Can someone confirm ?
You will find it on the lower right corner of a 2.0 thread.
