I think that when a person starts a thread, it should automatically be added to their subscription list.

Yes, an option only...
I can't imagine my over 1k posts users with a huge threads favorites..... a forum by its own, may add the to the server more stress and work.

In fact I really plan to limit the numer of favorites / pm to 20-30.
