Hi, John said that its a feature that unsubscribed forums would still be displayed on the main page.
You see subscribed forums only when you enter "Your VB".

What do you think ? Should the unsubscribed forums be also removed from the main page ?

What does "subscribed" actually mean in this context/ Does the user get an email everytime a post is made in their subscribed forums or is actually just a list of their "favorite" forums?

Freddie,

A subscribed forum just appears in the member'ss "user control panel"... it doesn't include email notification of new posts in the forum.

Oh then I think it really needs to be redone so that a user just selects the forums they want to use and those are the only forums shown on the main forum listing, of course, allowing some forums to be chosen by the admin that are always shown no matter what a user picks.

I really don't see the point of the user having a list of favorite forums that are displayed in the control panel.

We share the main perspective on this:

Let user display only the forum they want (on the main page also !) + let the admin FORCE some forums to be displayed.

IIRC, I did a little hacking to the favorite forums hack that's out now so it was possible to do that.

arrrr... i wanted email notifications for new threads in a subscribed forum.. i think this is a really important feature, it brings people back to your forums like no ones business :)
