Better new post notification

When you receive an e-mail that there's a new thread, there can be a problem with the link that the e-mail sends. The link is in this format:This thread is located at:
http://www.spaceagecomics.com/fora/showthread.php?threadid=218&goto=newpost
However, if you're still logged in to the board, you'll end up going to the first "new" post since you first visited the board -- not necessarily the post that the e-mail refers to. This is a problem in active threads where many people are online and posting to the same thread.

This could be easily fixed. Change the link to:http://www.spaceagecomics.com/fora/showthread.php?postid=1657#post1657It makes more logical sense to do it this way.

i agree, i recently was posting on a huge thread, and i got about 20 emails through saying there were new posts, each time i clicked on the link but it didnt take me to the newest post, very annoying!

Im sure it couldnt be hard to change

Wouldn't be hard at all. I'd do it myself, but since it makes so much sense to do it this way, it ought to be in vB3.

I hate to bump this, but I'd like to make sure that a mod sees it. This is such a simple change -- and yet one that makes perfect sense, that I'd like to make sure it doesn't get lost in the shuffle!

I see it and fully support it ;) but you'd need either John, Freddie, Kier or Mike to actually make the change.
