Hi,

i have used vbulletin for a short time, and my impression is that it is an outstanding work. The tech support staff also is very good and fast, in fact i've never seen someone to answer as fast as they do. However one thing is lacking in the vbulletin site, and those are step by step how-to guides, that keep themselves current.

I went through a few little problems during installation and use of the bulletin that weren't new. And only because those guides and manuals don't exist i couldn't find the answers myself.

I had to search the forum and found there many answers, but i also lost much time and saw many doubts repeat themselves in time....

For the answers i couldn't find, i had to ask for help to the support team. But also for them many issues weren't new, and many problems were about configuration steps. Again, this could be resolved if there was a guide that talked about the limitations of the bulletin software, and how to properly configure it.

So, i suggest that we all can participate with our experience in writing a good reference that keeps itself current.

Rodrigo.

The vBulletin Manual (http://www.vbulletin.com/manual/) is fairly helpful with explaining installation and features of vB.

Yes, the manual IS helpful, but not enough.

There is plenty of information that is very useful in the fine-tuning of the software, and in the most common troubleshooting inquiries that is not in the manual.
