we just transfered our vB to another server. everything seems OK BUT when we try to load anything that starts w/ forum/showthread.php3?threadid=xxxxx
we get this error:

Warning: Invalid content of \{\} in /home/htdocs/forums/global.php3 on line 331

can someone guide me what does that mean?

if there are X number of posts in that thread, the error also appears X number of times.

if i try to set-up a new vB on that server, everything is OK, but when I use my old data gathered thru mysqldump, i get those errors.

i tried checking the "language" in the MySQL configuration, both use the same configs.

im really lost. help pls.

(Weird, I replied to this thread earlier....I thought...and its missing. I'll try again)

I posted this question with the error message on the support area for VB owners...and John answered me quickly. (Thanks John!)

He suggested I look in the censor script line and check all the {squigglies } to make sure everything was okay. He also said that if there was nothing suspicious to disable censor.

I disabled censor since I saw nothing on the censor script line. In fact, this is the same script line we have been using with success.

The message boards are up and working on the new server with all the posts and members. It was a LARGE database.

I suspect now that there is some sort of server setting that isn't working right to cause us to not be able to use the censor function. Does this ring any bells for anyone? I'd like to use the censor function. :D
