I've been taking up learning how to program in PHP and MySQL. I bought a book that is teaching me the basics, but nothing near what I want to do. I want to create a CMS for my website and I was wondering if all you SQL and PHP coders could give me some info on where to look for further referening on where to learn this type of coding. ANy specific books, websites, or anything else would be helpful. Or even just suggestions on how you learned! Thanks a ton!

I always liked Paul DuBois's "MySQL" book. It teaches you a lot about it and also have a section about PHP coding (which is obviously not as comprehensive).

Core PHP by Leon Atkison
I used that to learn php, its split into sections, describes functions and then tells you a bit about it then shows some examples, and it sometimes tries to show you bigger examples based on what you've learned in the sections.
All the examples come on CD so you can see the source. Covers all the major stuff including gd, mysql, sybase, oracle, odbc, cases, input/ouput, file management and even gives you tips for syntax :D

Professional PHP Programming from Wrox gets my vote. I have also just got their mySQL book but can't comments about it yet. I didn't like the DuBois book that much.
