hey all, i just came over to vB form ubb 6.05 not to long ago, i love the system, but im missing one thing that was a BIG help in ubb 6, the wordlets. what are wordlets?, it was a list, of all the words within the ubb system, you could easyly change any word via the wordlets page in the cp then editing templates, the only thing i could find just like it was the sticky and poll options in the Vb options part of the cp, is this feture planed for any future verson of vB (verson 3 or up) id love to have it :).

With vBulletin all of the text is in the templates. I personally feel this is a much easier way to do things - you don't have to load a giant page of Wordlets and you aren't changing phrases or words out of context of where they actually appear.

I can tell you without saying exactly whether this will be in v3 there is something similar to this in v3, although far superior to Wordlets.

a list, of all the words within the ubb system, Did you mean all the words used to make up the framework of the ubb? Surely not a list of all the words used in the various posts?

i understand that, but it also means editing many templates if a certain "word" shows up on many pages, i waiting to see the feture you hinted at tho :D

Yeah, no kidding. When I read the first post of this thread, I flashed back to about a day's worth of template hacking I went through not too long ago... and much of my time was spent make some customizations that "wordlets" would have helped with.

Thanks to tubedogg, who just made me salivate over the prospects of vB3 again...
