be nice if there was a usergroup option for this.. mods posting is sometimes a problem on closed threads

I don't really see what the point would be... Seems like if you wanted to have threads where a particular usergroup could post to them, you could put them in a special usergroup-only forum.

like i said, right now mods can reply to closed threads... and open them if they want.. gets annoying when you want to stop the discussion

Moderators can already post in closed threads without having to reopen them.

And there's no need to bump your post, this is a suggestions forum.

That's more a guideline/policy problem rather than a missing feature. Just instruct the mods that they are not to reply to closed threads, and if you're worried they can't be trusted, as is sometimes the case, just make sure the Edited by: toggle is on, thus leaving traces all over the place if they try to pull a fast one.

Yell at your moderators, "STOP REPLYING TO CLOSED THREADS". Then if someone does it, demoderate him for a day. Am I a bit harsh? :D
