looking at the source code in a particular font shows a -, this seems just like a font issue.
create a topic using alt+0160 as the topic, most fonts dont show it

well using alt+0160 produces the same issue, its not blank just the font your using shows it as blank

Concurrent Version System, any changes are logged in to this system, people can take a copy of the latest build by logging in and taking it. The changes over the time can also be compared.

Well in a mac its not a blank thread title its showing - i've checked this using Opera and NS4.

In the default font on Mac, apparently it is not a blank character.
