Having Trouble Setting Moderators

My Mods from UBB transfered flawlessly as did the admins, however, I can't seem to set a person as a new super-mod which I want to do with some of the moderators. I find their username and use the drop down menu to change them to "supermod" instead of "registered" and when I submit, I get a mysql error along with email telling me that:
Database error in vBulletin Control Panel: Invalid SQL: SELECT usertitle FROM usergroup WHERE usergroupid=
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1
mysql error number: 1064

Am I going about setting supermods the wrong way?

Nope - that was a bug in that version. If you grab the user.php from the current development version in the members area, that problem will be fixed.
