Heya, Question:

When i go to http://www.whatever.com/forum/mod/index.php and go to Edit Announcements.

As a moderator, I can see every forum in the system.
Shouldn't this only show the forums that the moderator can view?

I am only running 2.2.4, so maybe this was fixed in 2.2.5.
Maybe I broke this with a hack. (dont think so)
Maybe I just don't know how to set up forum permissions efficiently.
Maybe its a bug?
Maybe its a suggestion for 3.0 or the next 2.2.x [if there is one]

Just wondering-- anybody else have this problem?
I got the problem to disappear, but wanted to know maybe if it was a bug. [if it is, ill post my code up here for a temp. fix]

Anyway, im rambling.. its 12:30am

Thanks for reading
Brandon

It depends. If you're a Super Moderator, you'll be able to see and moderate all forums, regardless of who's listed as the moderator.

Not a Super Mod. Just part of the 'Moderators' group.

I don't know if it happens in my own forums where I am the admin...

But in other forum running 2.2.5, I am a moderator, and I can view all the forums and announcements in the board when I go to my Mod CP, but I can't modify them.

Yeah, I just think its a bad thing.

If you are trying to hide certain forums 100% from people, but you want to give certain people moderator access to other forums... they shouldn't see the ones they normally can't see. [if that made sense]

if you cant see them regularly... and you're not a mod of that forum.. then they shouldn't exist to you.

this is not the case with my forums, unless i add a getpermissions() check while it loops through the list...
