Teacher is using the board to start threads that students need to respond to. Is there anyway to hide the new thread icon from regular users versus admins? They can't start a thread of course, just would like to remove the chance for them to waste time trying to enter their username/password, or perhaps get confused and think that's how they respond to a post.
The clunky method would be to create two versions of the forumdisplay template, and just switch them via the admin page everytime a new thread was started, but there has got to be a better way. Thanks folks!
