I emailed someone at vbulletin a while back and I never got a reply. If I purchase, are these guys good to do business with? I assume they email me the code after the process my credit card. Is that true?

Yes, Everyone here except the Lite Version Users did have to purchase their VB software. It's illegal to use it without purchashing a liscense you know. I've been happy with the purchase for our site. It's been great. I highly reccomend VBulletin and JelSoft.

I forgot to mention that they don't send the code to you. They actually send login information for the "Members Only" area. Once you login you can download everything from there.

thanks. I just want to make sure I'm buying a quality product that users like. The last thing I want is some buggy php script that doesn't work and can't get support.

You should be able to form a fully qualified opinion about your questions by reading through all the forums.

install the lite version, if that works then you know the full one will (which has many many more features).

may be worth waiting until version 2.0 comes out (approx 3 weeks) but that would be up to you. Upgrading won't be hard if you did start with this one so long you don't change your templates too much.

I'm thinking of purchasing the owned license. Is it true that I get free upgrades as they become available the first year? I believe that's what I read.

Lastly, is this a pretty easy message board to install. I'm not a php or MySQL expert but I can configure and install just about anything with instructions.
