Hello,
I want to try updating my vBulletin (1.1.3) to the new version 1.1.4 (php3 version)
At the download page I found: "Once you have uploaded the files, run the upgrade.php script, found in the admin directory. "
But I have no upgrade.php3 file, not in admin/ and also not in install/admin/
What can I do?

Delete it, login to the admin, then try running it...

Delete it and run /index.php or login as admin to make some config.

I could have sworn that when I read the upgrade instructions it said something about identifying the template changes and asking if I wanted them. I never saw anything but the same message as Stefan either.
Now when I run admin, I get
>>Bulletin 1.1.3 Control Panel (Version 1.1.4 RELEASE 1)<<
across the top of the screen. Is that correct?

I just downloaded the update again on the small chance it was corrupted, uploaded all of the files over the existing ones, then ran upgrade.php3 . I got the same message
"upgrade.php3 exists. If you have already upgraded fully, please delete it. Otherwise, run it now"
when I click on the link, the screen basically just refreshes.

I also tried opening the control panel, which gave me the same message, but it still wouldn't install from there.
I'm sure it's something simple and stupid, but it's beyond me. Any ideas?

Hello !
I have the same problem as BabyU !
I always get the message:
"upgrade.php3 exists. If you have already upgraded fully, please delete it. Otherwise, run it now."

Well I just upgraded 3 boards yesterday/today and didn't have any trouble at any of them - you just have to confirm that your logged into the Control Panel.

We are currently investigating why the php3 version of the upgrade script is returning the "upgrade.php3 exists. If you have already upgraded fully, please delete it. Otherwise, run it now" message.
In the interim, it's possible to perform the upgrade
manually by uploading all new .php3 files into your
vBulletin directory. Since there are no changes to the
database configuration, this will work fine. However, the version of the software will remain at 1.1.3. As soon as we have fixed the upgrade script, I'll let you know... this script will update the version number.
