I realized that VB is perhaps going to be THE code I want to use and I want to upgrade my one year license to full time. I am sorry if this was posted before since I do not have the time to read through all the threads.

But I want to switch to a full time license and was asking if I could mebbe get a discount off the full time price? I ask because I remember a friend did that for UBB and received her license at that discounted price. Just saving up money for a new system and perhaps a dedicated server when the time comes. :)

Thanks a bunch!

not speaking from any official stance here, but I dunno if they are going to do this. the subject of giving discounts to people trading in a UBB licence has come up and been dismissed.

the discount your friend got, was she one of the ones who was caught when UBB raised the license price then 2 weeks later did away with their licensing fee?

Don't remember the exact time it happened but I do recall it being before that price increase

They took the price of the one year lease and subtracted it from the full time. Her first lease was of course not expired...

If you currently have a vB lease license, and want to buy it instead, I'm sure Jelsoft would be willing to subtract the difference, providing the company they're using supports such a transaction.

Thanks you two. :)

Well I'm more than happy with the product and I certainly don't mind being a full time license holder! :)
