New install (ubb import) a couple problems

Did the import from ubb... the board seems to work ok for the most part, but here are two problems I have noticed so far:

In the admin panel
->User Groups and Permissions
->modify

The generated list contains several duplicate entries of auto-generated moderators.

I suspect that I should just click on "remove" so that only one of each remains... please let me know if this is the right way to go about it.

The other thing...
I am unable to modify my profile. When I attempt to do so I get:
There is already a member with that email address, and the administrator has required that all users must have unique email addresses. If you already have a username and have forgotten your password, please click here. Thinking these two problems were related, I removed the duplicate entries of my username from the list of aut-generated moderators and tried again. Same thing. Any advise? Thanks.

Go Users->Find->Type in your username->remove and duplicate copies from there.

Are there duplicate copies? If so, did this fix it?

Did that, and my username is listed only once.

And, I still cannot modify my profile :( Although strangely, one of my moderators that previously could not modify his profile, now can! ANy suggestions?

do a search for users with your email address.

probable issue: from the old ubb, took your profile with email addy same as the admin email

I did that on your recommendation doron, and I found three usernames with my e-mail address. One of them was correct, and the other two were different (but the same as each other). I changed their e-mail addresses, andf the problem of not being able to modify my profile has been fixed!! Thank you.

However, the strange thing is, when I go:
User Groups And Permissions->
Modify,
I am listed as an "auto generated moderator" one time. Additionally, when I post on the board, the title "moderator" appears next to my name.

Several of my moderator's names appear more than once, even though some only moderatoe one forum, and even though I had previously deleted out the extra listings of their name.

It's getting a little confusing :(

User groups and permissions need a lot of work and refining. James and John are working on this for the 2.0 release of vBulletin that is supposed to be coming out this winter.

To clean up your "Auto-Generated" listing, remove all the moderators from your forum and then try adding all your moderators in at one time. It should generate one user group for each moderator then.
