when I try to put my header code in the options, I get a timeout.

it's not *that* much code:

I am not sure what kind of timeout you are getting, but I have more code than that in my header.

well, I hit submit and it just sits there forever and eventually gives me a "operation timed out" error.

I have no idea what's up with it, either.

Hey martin you are running NT right? Check out this post.. I am having the same problem.. It is related to characters I think.. I figure its either a MySQL or PHP config problem..

I hope to god this isn't just because the program is incompatible with NT. That would be a lot of money and time down the drain :(

Are you running the shareware 3.23.14 mySQL?

I'm thinking it may be a thing in shareware that restricts it, but I would like to find out before I shell out $140 and it still not work.

I was also thinking it may be related to having to run PHP as CGI instead of ISAPI. If this is the problem, we are definitely going to have to figger out how to run it as ISAPI without problems.

I just set it up as an ISAPI module and I still have the same problem. (at least I added it to the ISAPI tab for that IP. That's all I hafta do, huh?)

Heya Martin!! Our problem is a PHP problem.. I loaded WWWThreads free version and had no problems with 11,000 plus characters.. WWWThreads is Perl/MySQL..

I am gonna send an email to the php crew.. I'll let ya know what I find..

Martin,

Before sending an email to PHP I thought I would try upgrading to 4.0 RC2 and the Zend Optimizer Beta 3..

I upgraded and works perfect.. I was able to post the 11,000 character same as I did here.. Upgrade buddy..

I am running it in cgi mode btw..

okay, I upgraded the PHP and Zend and everything seems to be working beautifully except not being able to run it as ISAPI.

I still can't upgrade to the 1.1.2 Dev Version, though, because it still won't let me log into the control panel. Are you having this problem, too?
If not, could you tell me how you're configured?

Same here martin.. 1.1.2 global.php is the porobelm I think..

I also get locked out from the CP in 1.1.2 dev..

I am hoping this will be gone with the released version..

Has anyone seen the vB crew? No posts by any of them for a few days.. Must be taking a holiday away from us..hehehehe.. ;)
