This is a style I was working on but never got to fully finish, I thought I may as well post it here incase someone needs it!

also anyone needs any custom work, Im up for the challenge ;)

Upload Style & Images
Read Style.txt and make changes

BTW this style also uses Tubedogs Last 10 Threads Hack from VBulletin.org, if you dont want to use it simply remove it from the bottom of g_statistics template ;)

Judging from the stuff on there, it looks like he installed quite a few hacks in addition to overhauling the templates.

check the readme file with the style mate the hacks are in there (only small) it should work still without the hacks though I think!

Well i`ve just added the hacks to the index.php and tried it again but still no luck it just hangs at the updating profile screen after selecting it, as i`m new to VB does it matter what version of VB i`m using for style? thanks

I think it may matter because you have the option

Use style file even if it is for a different version of vBulletin

ok the forum options is the drop down style selector hack by firefly and the active topics is by tubedogg both can be found at www.vbulletin.org, if you dont want to use either of these simply remove the 2 bottom tables from the template g_statistics

as for the Report and IP button I havent included any button sets so its up to you to find a button set with those buttons in! Sinecure at Pixel Junction offers some nice XP button sets! ;)

mewgood, look in the folder you unzipped the style in to and look for a style.txt open it up and it tells you how to do the active topics hack

OK I have done all the hacks But its asking for a vbp_include.php file where is that. Also I see you have included Forum Options what is the link for this. and I have uploaded the last10.php file and I still see nothing.

I see that all the templates are there for the active topics but I do not see the boxes on my page maybe that include file that its calling will fic the problem.

You are correct its finished. NOw I have other problems how do I fix the mail Box % thing the green bar is not there or what ever the percent is there is not number Also the Report to A Mod Icon is missing. Also Active Topics is missing it shows no active topics.

HOw do I change everyone to the new Style by default.

I`ve just looked at the instructions in the style.txt for the pm gauge and a bit of it is missing find what you put in your index.php for the pm gauge and replace it with what is below and makesure you have uploaded the green.gif

I do not have the Red.gif or the Yellow.gif but eh green is there but its still not working.

your best deleting these from the templates mate, I left them in there by mistake!

as said above to get the PM Gauge to work, place the green.gif in your images folder, and add this to your index.php just below the rest of the pm code near the top ;)

Here is what I think I don't understand
you make a reference to a ../vbp_includes.php file
I do not see that file.

Or is this something I have to change on my end to another file name that is were I'm confused.

sorry, i'm a little confused following this thread.... i think what I read what that a style was posted as a free style that had a screen shots of lots of cool hacks but folks found that the hacks were not in the templates or instructions on how to install them.

Is this right?

vbp includes was already in the template for vb, I dont know what it is ;)

silkroad - i had this hack on my forums and forgot to remove all of the hacks from the style, its not really much of a problem you will just have a few templates that do nothing :D

If your getting problems with the vbp_includes.php goto your phpinclude template and delete this string :

include("../vbp_includes.php");

So your phpinclude should look like this now:

As soon as It was gone, the last10 worked great, and I no longer had a parse error at the top of my forum, hope that helps.

Hi, I am new to this and I like this skin and should teach me a lot about how things work with vBulletin, I modded ikonboard 3 a lot and got it down pretty fast. But.... When I got to download attachement it downloads attachment.php why?? Can someone put this on a web server and drop the url here for me to download please.

Very much a work in progress but here is my attempt so far of getting this up and running. Not open to users yet until I get the format nailed.

I intend to try and put the latest postings hack on my main site rather than on the board.

Can anybody suggest how i make the ip and report to mod buttons text links inside the frame as I think a lot of boards (this one?) have (no buttons for these in the set i'm using)

And how I alter the background colour on the actual postings. The 1st and 2nd colour options on the top level of style editing are being ignored. The first page after the front page (thread listing) has a very thick black background and then the actual posting view pages has all the same background throughought - no alternating of shades.

Lastly I seem to have a forums option section that doesn't have anything in the dropdown - is this best deleted off the style and where do I find it to delete if that's the best option?

Any help much appreciated - I'm quite new to this software and am learning as fast as i can :)

I had this style working perfectly with all hacks/buttons etc. no problems.


And CL, why not just add 2 little graphics for report and IP? I just took the ones that proboards use and they fit nicely with it

Bearing in mind this is my first attempt at putting in and getting a style working (hence unfamiliarity with the system) I've got most of it working.
