We have an internal system for our company, and would like one forum where employees can post anonymous messages.

Any ideas?

Make a forum where anybody can post, and just have the users log out when they want to make an anon post. Be aware that admins and smods can still compare IPs to find out who posted, but no one else can unless you specifiy it.

In a company it's likely everyone has a fixed IP. If the forum admin can find out who it was then it's not anonymous!

Well a fixed IP outside your LAN. Insde it's probably assigned via DHCP.

An alternative is to turn off IP-logging altogether, but that's a bad idea if the board is also used by external visitors. Maybe the IP-logging in future versions could be set to override per forum.. Or make a double-blind option-setting (on/off) in each forum. If on, all posts are made by anons and no IPs logged, regardless of the login-status. Worth looking into because that's what rhumphrey is really after.
