Check out the IM system at www.corvetteforum.com
It's a message board by www.zeroforum.com
The IM system is simply amazing... Could something like this happen any time soon? Is anybody here familiar with this thing? If not, I suggest two people sign up and IM eachother. It really is an amazing system...

This system is great. You don't have to worry about whether the other person is there or not. These messages are saved for when you login. Plus, you can review passed IMs..

Sorry about that :(
Anyway yes that is tre cool :) That would be a good addition to vB. Maybe have an option to limit incoming messages to being from those on your buddy list?

pretty impressive; I wonder how the window is refreshed, I couldn't find any meta-refresh tag or javascript-refresh functionality in the source. I like the way how they popped up the smilies btw

You can add the refresh code into the HTTP headers so that it isn't seen by the End Users. the Meta-Refresh tag simply provides a way to do this in HTML.
