While currently there are forums where you can post bugs and suggestions, it would be nice if there would be separate applications where you can submit a bug or a suggestion, users can vote (in case of bugs to confirm it, in case of suggestions to approve the suggestion), comment on it and developers can flag them to certain statuses (bugs: fixed in vx, not a bug but a feature; suggestions: will be implemented in vx, won't be implemented etc..etc..)

I think I suggested this a while ago that it might not be a bad idea to have a bug-tracking system. Especially with v3 coming up (I'm thinking more of the betas here) it would be a big benefit IMHO.

Came to my mind a while back too, but thought: why bother, they already chosen to use this way to submit bugs/etc.

But it would be nice to have some kind of page where users can submit stuff like that.

Nice idea!

for bugtracking: you don't even have to create an application; there are allready a couple of good ones (bugzilla)

feature tracking would be nice too, since you can keep track of how popular certain suggestions.

Perhaps the beta could have a log of functions used by users and admins. Then developers could use the logs to know what is used (not necesarily popular) and what is not. This can get around some of the problems caused by opinions.

Now you mention that; It would be really cool if you can send an error to a vbulletin bugtracking application. Like now in Internet Explorer; When a bug occurs you can send a report to Microsoft. Probably you will send additional information in the report like versionnumber, querystring, cookiesyes/no etc..etc..

While that seems like a good idea I'm not sure how practical that would be in reality. f.e. say you were testing something and it was something you did as opposed to a genuine error, then we get an error message and have to try and figure it out. :)
