hi, im new here, well ill get right to it.

after reading some threads around the forum, i saw venturesonline.com -after readin through their services i found that thier highest bandwidth offered is 225GB and 550MB of memory

so now let me explain my situiation, i recently aquired an extremely popular gaming website that easily gets 100,000+ raw hits a day, and has over 10,000 members in the VB forums. The server of the previous owners of the site used was very slow and they could not keep the site running at a high speed with the increase of traffic and whatnot, part of the reason they sold it to me.

basically my question is will 225GB bandwidth (with a dedicated server) provide my users with exeptionally fast speeds consistintley? also are theyre any hosts or servers you know of that offer more bandwidth than 225BG?

also do you know if theyre are any traffic restrictions with a VO dedicated server?

thanks in advance,
Jeremy

VO has great connectivity and will be fast for most of your visitors...

225 GB/mo would be plenty for average page sized web site

you'd probably need more memory before you run out of diskspace

Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like you are thinking about the bandwidth in the wrong terms. The 225GB you have mentioned is the total amount of data you transfer over a month, not how much bandwidth your server has available. I assume Ventures Online will co-locate you on a 100m/bit link. This, and a fast processor, and plenty of RAM will give you nice fast responsive pages. You bandwidth usage has nothing to do with how fast your pages will be delivered.
