Several of my site members recently mentioned that on a number of occassions after typing out a lengthy PM they *lost* the PM due to the recipient's inbox being full.

Just wanted to send along this suggestion that there be some kind of automatic save feature to save a message in order to send it later, when the recipient's inbox is no longer full.

I haven't experienced this myself, but from what has been explained to me - if the recipient's inbox is full, the message is not saved & is deleted from the message entry field when the user hits the back button. I suppose for short messages this would really not be an issue, but for PMs that are a bit long I could see people getting irritated that they keep losing the messages when other people's inboxes are full.

That would need a backend program that Vbulletin can't provide. What your users can do is save a COPY to themselves in their inbox. Its the checkboxes after their message box

No it wouldn't need a backend program. We would simply save it to the database and set it to be hidden until the recipient has enough free space in their inbox.

I agree that this would be a useful feature, but a developer will have to decide if it can be included or not.
