I just got done installing the Lite 1.0.0 version of vBulletin at http://www.athlonmb.com/vb/index.php But from what I can see, there is no way to register a new user or anything.
Am I missing an option in the vB control panel or something?

The purpose of the lite version is just to make sure that your Vb will function on your server which it sounds like it is on your server.
Once you purchase the full version, you'll have full access to the features.
Hope this helps!

If you ask me they might as well just make a "test.php" that checks if it works...

Yes then we can scrap the lite version and this forum.

Maybe you were being sarcastic, but I think the lite version is great.
I dunno. I am planning on buying it because I saw how easy it was to install and how easy it will be to administer.
Also seeing how easy it is to change the graphics and getting a feel for how it is structured was nice for a bulletin board novice like me.
any, my 2 cents.
I have a question though...How do they enforce the site licenses or make sure people do not alter the code and redistribute or resell?

The lite version is only a test app.
No hacking is really allowed or you are not allowed to pass on hacks to other people or something like that.
vBulletin is trying to avoid people cutting code from the full version into the Lite Version.
UBB is suffering from this so they are losing money.
