How to upgrade MySQL?

I want to upgrade mySQL from 3.23.36 to 3.23.48 but I don't know how and there isn't any documentation too. :(

Any help would be nice.

you generally upgrade the same method in which you originally installed mysql

if from rpms then upgrade the same way or if done via compiling from source then you'd upgrade via compiling from source
