Just me or has it increased about 80% in the last week?

should'nt have to set security to only accept msgs from those on my contact list but it has almost come to that.

Use Trillian; it won't completely eliminate spam, but it helps.

are any of you experiencing any problems with trillian and aim, if so how did you fix this?

Thanks

You can't, keep dloading the new patches.

AIM is trying to block out Trillian

That's why I switched to AIM.

Just download the new versions of Trillian every time they are released (very regularly at the moment) and you'll be fine with AIM. AOL keep coming up with new ways of blocking Trillian, then Trillian keep coming up with new ways about bypassing the blocks ;)

Has anyone had a problem where whenever they start up ICQ it changes their homepage, even after you have set it back? I looked in the preferences and could find nothing on "Homepage Setting" and I unchecked the set homepage to web.icq or wheatever when the program installed. ICQ is so annoying!

Im almost ready to ditch ICQ totally, but cant for the fact I have 2 people who doesnt use MSN Messenger - and I really need to keep in contact with them.

Tried trillian, not a fan - and I love the original MSN too much ;)

Or you could just not allow messages, and multiple messages from people not on your list and then you don't get ANY spam.
