I am still with my current host (Ventures Online), and I am happy with them. But a couple of months ago I was going to expand my hosting by moving to a new host with more options. I came across SiteTurn.com and it looked clean, professional, and offered a lot of features for a low price. So I signed up with them.

My site wasn't activated for a full week. And it took about another 2 weeks to finally get my Username and Password fixed. After that I emailed them and asked them to cancel my account, and reminded them that I was cancelling within the 30-day month back garuntee. Heard nothing from them. I emailed them again and again, probably about 30 times after that. Then I get my bill and up shows a charge of around $60 from SiteTurn Networks. I was really pissed, I called them but no answer.

You can probably see where this is going. They were recently hacked and a chain mailing list was sent out to all the customers asking for their credit card information. Of course I do not fall for such stupid tricks, not sure about the other customers though. Every hour I'm getting flooded with like 20 emails from customers, since all the customers are on the mailing lists. The situation is in complete and utter chaos at the moment, tomorrow I'm calling my credit card company and asking them to either stop letting SiteTurn Networks charging me, or just to cancel the card.

Just a heads up warning to all those even concidering them.

(Some people think SiteTurn is doing this on purpose, either way it's bad and I want nothing to do with it)

Hell, why not speak to the BBB on them?

Did you keep your 30+ unanswered correspondance with them? That'll be the kicker to get your "fee waved" and did they even bother to EMAIL those people after they were hacked to let them know of hte problem?

TAKE it up with the BBB

I was this close <--> to siging up with Siteturn. Honestly, nowadays it seems not that easy to find a good host. For the past month, had changed about 2 host.

Site Turn overcharged me. I have contacted their president today, Kevin Javaheri (email: kevin@siteturn.com), at 916-363-9277 x 104 and left him a voicemail. I also emailed him. Support is terrible. They are rude and quick to rush you off the phone. Billing ignores you when they overcharge. But, they cancelled me within hours. In the cancellation request, I asked about the billing problem. They replied, telling me they cancelled my account, ignoring the request for a credit. They have not replied since. They told me not to call their support again because I am no longer a customer of theirs.

Neither the Billing or Customer Service Departments ever return messages left for them in voicemail. Also, the customer support personnel are not very good at what they do. Most things have to go higher in the company to be "researched" if the training they have does not allow them to simply give you information. Basically, support is by email, and they will tell you that on the phone. Phone support is useless.

In addition to all this, I was down for about three weeks (email was down), and they could do nothing. They told the vendor of the email software, and that was it. I had to wait weeks, and then all the email to the account that was down (the president's account) was lost. I asked to audit them, explaining that I was down and they didn't meet their service level goal of 99.9% uptime. Rick, a supervisor, told me he'd get me the refund after he reviewed my downtime. Never heard from him again.

In short, avoid them at all costs. I have emailed them about the overcharge no less than 10 times, and probably closer to 20 over the last three months. No response. The people in support tell you to email billing. Billing never responds. I have no received a response from support regarding what to do when billing does not respond. It's a joke and a runaround.

For those of you who were ripped off by them, I would encourage you to email and call the president, Kevin, listed above.

Good luck.

Site Turn Contact Info:
President: Kevin Javaheri (email: kevin@siteturn.com) (phone: 916-363-9277 x 104)
Billing: billing@siteturn.com
Support: support@siteturn.com

(When I email anyone, I email them all, just to be sure someone reads it, but I usually don't get anywhere.)

Oh, and if anyone from Site Turn Networks reads this, I would be happy to send you all the emails from me to you, and you to me, just so you don't get any ideas about a libel suit against me. This is all the truth, and I intend on telling anyone who will listen just how much of a cheat your company is.

I am sorry for your unfortunate experience. However this is a forum for vBulletin customers and potential customers. It is not a general speech forum where anyone can just talk about their problems.

As such, I am closing this thread and advise you to seek legal advice if this problem is so severe. If you are a customer and wish to talk about hosting options in a legitimate way then please enter your email address on the Priority Forum Support Form in the member's area to do so.
