I searched for this for a while in the forums and I couldn't find anything, so I'll ask here and hope someone can help.

I installed MySQL on Win2000 and it seems to be running ok. I uploaded the vblite .php version into http://www.mydomain.com/vb/ directory. When I go to /vb/install.php, I get:

Welcome to vBulletin Lite version 1.0.0 Lite. Running this script will do a clean install of vBulletin onto your server.

Click here to continue -> (points to: http://www.athlonmb.com/vb/admin/install.php?step=2)

Then, when I click on the "Click here to continue" link, I get the same page again:

Welcome to vBulletin Lite version 1.0.0 Lite. Running this script will do a clean install of vBulletin onto your server.

Click here to continue -> (points to: http://www.athlonmb.com/vb/admin/install.php?step=2)

When I try any other php files for vB, I get erros such as:

Warning: Bad Message destination in db_mysql.php on line 139

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

I don't know if this matters, but when I check the MySQL error file, it says:

Aborted connection 3 to db: 'unconnected' user: 'root' host: 'localhost' (Unknown Error)

Thanks a million for any help that anyone can offer!!
