Convert from Ikonboard?

Ok so here's my question.

Lets say my scenario was I had many members and topics on a Ikonboard V3, would I be able to convert this over to my VB?

Indirectly.

There is a freeware board called phpBB (phpbb.org) that has an iB importer. From there, there is an 'unofficial' phpBB -> vB importer available at vbulletin.org. So basically you go iB -> phpBB -> vB.

We are currently working on an iB importer although it is for v2.18 and below I believe.

If you know of a way to get your board converted back down to an earlier version of ikonboard (2.18/2.19) then we can probably get you imported - I'm not sure if this is possible.

Hopefully we'll be able to get the current iB 2 importer updated for iB 3 at some point - though from what I understand it's a major change as it now uses MySQL.

thank you both for your responses. I may be a month or so if I decide to switch over, or else I might just buy the vbulletin, and take all the data from my current board and switch it over to the VB(my board right now is not publicized, so not many people yet), plus my site and board is home to a web developer community so I believe I"ll be needing a nice set of forums!

If you still need someone to test the script, i'll do it. You said you'd mail it to me, but you never sent me anything (then I was ignored when I asked what happened). I really need to get off Ikonboard ASAP, i'm getting sick of threads disappearing from my board all the time. :mad:

Any news about the Ikonboard 2.1.8 import?
A friend of mine wants to upgrade his forum to vBulletin, and we are still rather unsure how to import his posts.

What about iB 3.0.1?
ikonboard has just fallen apart (long story) and I need a board that actually works but I cant lose my 6000 members and 10s of thousands of posts
