Unless you have vBulletin Lite installed and have posts that you really want to save we recommend installing vBulletin 2.x fresh. If you have to save info, you will need an extra database (because you need to install vB2.x and then import the info from vB Lite and there are duplicate table names).

Do i really need to try vblite first? i was thinking of going vo, if i can say the company.

Would be a pain to remove vb lite from the server?

If you are using VenturesOnline you do not need to bother with vB Lite as their server definitely supports vBulletin.
