Hey everyone;
I have been going through a project here and about to pull out what hair I have left. I downloaded the VLite Software to try on a few servers to see how I would like the BB... I like the look of the program, but can't get nothing to work...
I found a server at FreedonToSurf and my site is: http://techzone2000.f2s.com. My database server is at: db.techzone2000.f2s.com... It is MySQL

Loaded the program up on the server and Editted the config.php to match my MySQL settings or I believe I did it right.

On F2s, it states the following:

My Database Engine is: MySQL
Database User Name is: medictec
Database Name is: medictec
Database Server is: db.techzone2000.f2s.com
Database Port is: 3306

When I try to install using the http://www.techzone2000.f2s.com/vblite/admin/install.php I get the following:

Please confirm the details below:

Database server type: mysql

Database server hostname / IP address: db.techzone2000.f2s.com

Database username: medictec

Database password: 40373306

Database name: medictec

Only continue to the next step if those details are correct. If they are not, please edit your config.php file and reupload it. The next step will test database connectivity.

Click here to continue ->

I then click continue, and then get this screen:

Attempting to connect...

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Unknown MySQL Server Host 'db.techzone2000.f2s.com' (2) in /web/sites/276/medictec/www.techzone2000.f2s.com/vblite/admin/db_mysql.php on line 31

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /web/sites/276/medictec/www.techzone2000.f2s.com/vblite/admin/db_mysql.php on line 37

This is as far as it goes. I have no idea what is going on and that is why I came to the best of forums to find out...

I would appreciate any help... PLEASE...

Thanks,
MedicTech (Frank)...

Your URL is dead!

Did you manage to get around it?

"Database Server is: db.techzone2000.f2s.com "

Shouldn't that be:
Database Server is: localhost
