well, I finally got it running and...

some things I have noticed...

When I turned on HTML, all the pages still showed it as off...

When you delete the latest topic, the last poster from the deleted topic still shows as the last person who posted in that forum...

When you upload a smiley or an icon, it shows up on the list twice...

When I logged out as my Admin name and logged in under my regular name, it still showed the admin name on the active users list, not me.

Last, I didn't see where to put in the location of my mail server. Where does this go?

Well at least a couple of those are fixed in the beta 1.12 I believe, and the mailserver has to be specified in your php.ini file I believe:)

I just got the #$@*( thing working, and then I uploaded the latest dev version and now I can't log in to the control panel...

Try re-uploading all the 1.1.1 php files and that should reverse anything you did.

You should make sure you have removed install.php, installtemplate.php and upgrade.php from the admin directory before you can access the admin functions

HTML - you must edit the forumrules template by hand. This is because it is not practical to have it updating automatically while maintaining language independance.

Deleted threads - this is fixed in the latest version

Smilies - I have not been able to recreate this problem. Are you sure that you are not clicking twice by mistake.

Logging out - this will be fixed in the latest version
