please help
i know nothing of how to do this ,
and no idea where to start
i want to setup vb lite on my computer -
because i don't have a proper server yet
the computer has XP Pro
i have installed php , at least i think i need that

i went through all that
and got nothing out of it
i have no idea where to start
i am trying to install this on the computer
so i guess i got to make it a server
but don't know how
and i installed Mysql
i'm stuck

Wow, deano, you may not notice this, but your posts (at least in this thread) seem very poetic... they remind me of haikus.
Anyway... I think it's a bad idea to install your stuff on Windows XP. I'd much rather have you pay a measly $6/month for a normal UNIX server with PHP and MySQL, and live happily ever after.
There are just so many things that can go wrong on Windows XP... :rolleyes:

i did get a real server ,
but i went with ikon board , free
and a friend helped me set it up
i'm sure i will be changing over to VB
it is much better
but thankyou for replying
