error installing lite version

Hello getting this error whan I got through the installation process.

Everything is supposed to be ok on my server and ready to go.



Attempting to connect...

Connect failed: unexpected error from the database.

Error number: 1044

Error description: Access denied for user: 'whatever@localhost' to database 'forum'

Please ensure that the database and server is correctly configured and try again.

I was going to install v lite but started to read the posts lol.

There isen't much to the light version and to buy a copy is 160 dollars US..???

350 dollars Canadian for a forum .

Do you give student discounts???

In the post at the top vb lite installation someone had the same problems with the tables as you are having. This was the remedy.

"Kewlphper: When you run the installer, click the link to EMPTY THE DATABASE, then see if it goes through okay."

And to come to think of it thats what I did when I had the same problem with the full version.
