Mysql ?

Hey I was wondering,

If i created a cgi script that used mysql and I charged for my product would I need to pay for a license because my script requires mysql?
or would I only pay if I included it with my program?
To simply put, does Vbulletin have to pay because it uses a mysql backend? because I read something but I dont know if its true or not.

mysql is free from www.mysql.com but if you want support from MySQL you need to pay license fees
