I think embedded vBulletin all over the place is somewhat cumbersome to remove. I have some suggestions:

1. define a string variable for anything relating to your company so that people have the option of easily removing or replacing it. You want your customers to use your product because of its ease of use (I presume?).

2. charge a couple of bucks more for your license for a version without these embedded ads! (hehe) or better still, offer people a discount for leaving them in (rather than just sneaking them in).

3. Write up a small checklist of places to change them (since every admin will have to go through and do the same task of looking for them all the time)

Thanks, for reading this, vb rocks!

I only found the word 'vbulletin' in three default templates: forumhome, bbcode, and faq1.

Forumhome: meta tags
bbcode: example URLs for bbcode examples
faq1: example URLs

The others are alt tags for the vBulletin icon.

You can run a mass search & replace on vbulletin.style for alt="vBulletin" and then upload it your server along with upgrade14.php and run upgrade14.php?step=3

...or you can just use vBulletin's built in Search and Replace function. ;)

...which only works on customized templates. :p
