Eva is correct, there are no ads. However, if you are planning on running the free version as the forum software on your site, you will be sorely disappointed. The free version was designed *specifically* for testing purposes, therefore it lacks 99.99% of the features that make vBulletin such a great product.

So since it was designed to test server compatabilites and not to be a live forum, there are no ads.

according to this page, it´s only the following features that are not available.

Flexible design templates
User profiles
Comprehensive admin options
Post importation utility

I have paid hosting, and can´t really afford to pay the same amount I pay my host for a year than what the full version costs. I hope you understand.

Not having the money is completely understandable, but you really can't use vB Lite as a fully functional BB system. First of all, there is no member database.
There are several free bulletin board systems out there though, so you aren't completely out of luck.
Check out sourceforge.net, hotscripts.com, resourceindex.com
The first one is really your best bet for a free board
