I noticed most of the past winners had light backgrounds anyway ... it's time for dark background sites to get a piece of the limelight ;)
And thanks to those who voted for OTS!

This is a tough one! They all have great designs. But I'm gonna have to say Open Tech.

Did you guys draw again? I'm almost positive mine was one of the five selected and it's not here now. No biggie, no way I'd win against that Neowin site, just wondering what happened.

Kevin (Tubedogg) did a second drawing not realizing I had already done the drawing. His drawing has been deleted. Sorry for the confusion.:)

I'd like to thank my mom and dad, my buddy Neobond, the rest of the neowin staff, the visitors of neowin (where would we be without them) and all you people that voted for neowin ... what! ... we did win yet? ... oh well :)
Just practising ;)

Well neowin is down for me...but that one site is Vbulletin look at it thats awesome...its totally modified...and one site says something about a virus whats up with that..

KDPublish had some great ideas on how to rearrange the forums..but its not perfected...I found it very confusing to tell what was a link or not. I would suggest a darker link color if you don't want to use underlines. This site was 3rd for me.
Murmurs.com was next very intuitive design...2nd
OTS was my first choice...overall great color design and features.

OTS hands down!
Dark colors are hard to pull off, but he did it with a classy interface.

Murmurs.com is well designed, it deserves more votes - at least mine ;)

The is not a way that I can get my board entered is there, I was in the middle of a design and have not been able to get here. If not that is ok, I can wait I guess :(.
If so then here is my board, even if I can not get into the voting, check my board anyway if you would not mind.
I would have been down here last month but once again I missed it, I am just not having any luck getting here on time :).

I really like OpenTechForums and Graphic-Forums a lot.
I had OpenTech in my bookmarks from when it was still a UBB, and I like how it's come along. Since they were up in the polls anyway, I went ahead and voted for them.. but GF should definitely win on another month.
good job to all the nominees

Depends on what you mean...the nominations and votes aren't meant to be based on the content of the forums themselves...but rather, layout, customization, integration with the rest of the site, etc.

heh yeah i know =) i was kidding around but i seriously do believe that we should be entered:
- We have 8 random splashes on the main page: http://www.somethingleet.com
- 3 Skins designed by members
- 950+ unique hits a day and this is our 3rd month
- 500+ users
- 8 contests so far and 2 going on
- great people there and a great design community =)
- 2 own hacks and 7 vb.org hacks!
i know we arent nominated since we just got settled in :)

True ... I doubt if hacks or hits are gonna mean much anyway ... NeoWin has very limited hacks (if any!) and it's still a very slick-lookin' forum ;)

Murmurs is one of the best vB designs I`ve seen. I`m suprised that it hasn`t got more votes! If they make some original buttons it would have been the best I`ve seen. Just wanted to voice it because they`re far from winning, and I disagree:D

Well I do agree with you Haakon, I actually voted for them, because it looked like there was a lot of hardwork, and I just like the layout more and more...I didnt vote until like December 10th. But I did like open tech but I just like teh eye appeal Murmurs offered.

I voted for KDPublish.com. Mostly for being uniqe. I haven't seen to many set vbulletin up as such and find it quite impressive.
I also like graphic-forums.com. Nice and clean. Very focused.
All look super.
Good work folks. Your hard work shows. :)

We don't have any standard hacks. Just two selfmade.
1 to show the latest headlines from the news script on the board and 1 to show the latest posts from the board on the main page
I like open tech support btw. I hope to make an additional black theme for neowin one day :)
