Include Smilie Hack Request

Another requst....

There is now a hack out (Yes I know you are aware of this because you gave permission for the release at the org.) that allows for the smiles to be placed where the curser is instead of the darn thing dropping to the bottom of the page.

I request that the "smiley stay where you are" hack be incorporated into the next version of vBulletin. I do what everyone does. I copy and paste my smiley where I want it and delete the one at the bottom.

This would be a nice update.

And If you didn't catch my other thread. The other request was for a "All template search function" to be included in the next vBulletin if possible. At the present the template search doesn't seem to be finding anything in the CUSTOM USER templates.

This would be nice also.

I believe there were major browser compatibility problems with that particular hack?

We'll most likely find a solution, though probably not from the particular hack you're talking about :)

I remember Scott (writer of that hack) swearing that Netscape users won't notice anything changed, while Explorer users will be able to use the hack just fine.

We'll most likely find a solution, though probably not from the particular hack you're talking about :) Which major browsers did it break? I still have only heard one person say it broke anything out of everyone who has tried it from the link Freddie gave, and installed the hack version.
