Apologies if this suggestion has already been put in the melting pot (I did look but didn't see it).
Some of the users on our forums have registered a couple of times and used either login as they feel appropriate. Sometimes it's good to have an alter ego.
I have done this myself.
What I want to do is assign all the posts by one user to another user and then delete the first user's registration.
I imagine the SQL to do it is easy but not knowing the database structure, I can't guess whether any dependant tables would be impossible to fix up.
Anyhow, that's my suggestion.
