How much need I know of SQL to use this software

How long will it take me to have VBulletin up and running on my own site?
Where does VBulletin installation take place.. on the server itself??

In reality, you don't really need any SQL or PHP knowledge to install or run vBulletin. If you have a host that provides MySQL database and PHP, you really just need to upload the vB scripts and run the installation as documented. Now if you have your own server and need to install or tweak MySQL and/or PHP, just stop by the Server Configuration forum and I'll give you a hand with that stuff.

yeah, installing the scripts requires zilch ammount of sql knowledge.
