Misc.php and Templates

Is there a way, or some code, that will run whatever template you add to the misc.php?action=<template>, so one doesnt have to go into misc.php everytime they want to add an external template?

Something that would call the template after the action=, and if it does not exist, go to a page saying that it doesnt or default back to the main page?

At this time there isn't such a way to do this however if you know PHP you could probably think of a way to do this. Or you could ask at vBulletin.org for a solution.
