does vb need php4 sessions ?

since my hosty does not support php4 sessions I would just like to make sure that vb will work with out them

vB manages it's own sessions at the moment - so PHP4 sessions are not necessary :)

also is there a way to custimize the db table name so it won't conflick with same name tables?
