question on vbulletin need a answer

Hi all quick question I have vbulletin installed on my site. Can my friend who wants to use the same messageboard that i'm using create a link off his site to my message board and still be a legal setup? Or would that be not legal? A example would be a person goes to my friends site and wants to post a message on my friends site is a link to my messageboard where all the posting happens. These people will never go to my webpage at all just to the forums at my site. So as I understand it that should be legal right?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
