can't find license

hmmm is there a license file for the Freeware somewhere?? I could'n find any....

Maybe i just ask: Is it ok to alter the Freeware by my self and still use it ?? In other words, is the License something like the UBB Freeware license ? Or is it forbidden to alter the code in any way ?

Maybe some of you Moderators/administrator could say something about it..
It would be nice to include some license File in the Freeware Release..

yes, you can alter the code.

Still a written license would be something...

I like to have a license bevore i go and prog for hours just to be told to take the modified Board down because of the modifications...
You see, a real license file helps you to see what you should and what you shouldn't do...

As was said, you may edit the vB Lite to your hearts content. However, you MAY NOT give away hacked copys, like the UBB license.

One difference between the UBB and vB freeware licenses at this time is that you MAY NOT release your freeware hacks. The may change in the future, but please refrain from it for now.

That's the whole idea :). It's not too easy to use a freeware vB as your main forum software. It is intended solely for making sure that your server works with PHP and MySQL before buying the full version.
