[probably not a bug] IP's in admin profile

I have noticed since the upgrade to 2.2.0 the members IP number is not showing up in the profile when accessed thru the control panel. I do have IP logging turned on.

When you view a membrs profile and click User Options, it goes to your CP and the IP# is then listed under Options... that what you mean?

In 2.2.0 the ip number is not listed by accessing the profile either way, control panel or profile. The only way to get the ip number is to search for IP's numbers for that member, so it's almost imposible to get the last ip number used.

Well on mine, it's showing for most members, but not for my own profile. It shows my other full admin's IP though. Very strange.

Using either method to get to the same place, I do see that my IP is there. However, it is not my most recently used IP...but I believe that is by design. I seem to remember reading once that the IP showed under options on the edit user screen of the admin cp is the IP that the person originally registered with.

Now mayhaps you guys that aren't seeing an IP there did not have IP logging turned on when you registered? Either in vBulletin, or if you imported from some other board system, but whatever board you were using, maybe you didn't have IP logging on when you registered, and maybe if that field shows the IP used for registration, it would be empty because there was no IP logged at the time.

I was using a ubb since may 1998, I upgraded to vbulletin in august of 2001. I have always tracked ip numbers. They always showed up in all versions of vbulletin prior to 2.2.0

FWIW I've always had IPs on and they were working fine prior to 2.2.0. However now they aren't showing up in the user profiles.

Do new registrations have the IP address?

There was a time when IP address used for registration was not recorded, so that is where your blank users will be coming from, I think.
