New Design; Opinions Appreciated!

[Gamingforce]

Hello, I am the project leader for the Gamingforce Network. I was working on a new design for the message boards section of our site. I just wanted some opinions on the new boards design I was creating before finalizing it. All comments / suggestions appreciated :).

the new header and footer are a tad to big imo... they take up almost half the screen

I like it. But as Menno said, its too big. IMO, a person, even on lower resolutions, should never have to scroll on every page just to see something other than the header.
