jpg's are resized, but JPG's fail to upload?

This is bizarre!

Uploading a large jpg as an attachment fails if the suffix is in uppercase (JPG), but is fine and resizes if jpg is lowercase????? I've tested with the same image renaming the suffix.

Is this a server config issue?

And suggestions appreciated!

It could be a mimetype issue but I can't really see that causing a problem. You can contact your hosting provider to see if there is an issue with capital letters in extensions.. The generally accepted behavior is to have extensions in lowercase though.

I have a dedicated Linux server, there is no issue with using capital letters in extensions.

I just tested again... and now nothing is failing..

I'll keep testing..

I am a new user and even a simple problem like how to allow members to post jpg pics is confusing. It seems to only allow pics from the internet with a URL address. Anyone know what my problem is?
